This privacy policy explains how Onizion Ltd ("Onizion", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares your personal information when you use the Onizion App on iPhone, iPad, Android or the web (the "App"). It applies to users in the UK and around the world, including the United States.

The information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from them (Apple lets you hide your email address).
- Wellbeing check-ins: information you choose to enter about how you feel, such as mood, stress, relaxation or sleep ratings.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact us for help.
Information from your device and your bed
- Listening history: which soundtracks you play, when, and for how long.
- Health and wearable data: if you choose to connect Apple Health, Google Health Connect or a compatible wearable, we read the data you allow, such as heart rate, heart rate variability or sleep data. You choose exactly which types of data to share, and you can turn this off at any time.
- Bed connection data: when the App connects to your Onizion sound bed by Bluetooth, we collect the bed's identifier, firmware version, settings and technical status. The App needs Bluetooth permission to do this.
- Notification data: if you allow notifications, a device token that lets us send them.
- Technical and usage data: your device type, operating system, app version, how you use the App, and crash reports. We collect this using analytics and crash reporting tools.
Information from app stores
- Purchases: if you buy an upgrade in the App, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive confirmation of what you bought, but not your card details.
Wellbeing and health data
Wellbeing check-ins and health or wearable data are sensitive. Under UK and EU law, information about your health is "special category" data and has extra protection. We will:
- only collect it if you give your explicit consent in the App, which you can withdraw at any time in the App's settings;
- only use it to personalise your sessions and show you your progress;
- never use it for advertising or marketing, and never sell it;
- never share it with anyone else except the service providers who store it for us, unless you separately agree to take part in research (see below);
- follow Apple's and Google's rules for health data, which means we do not use data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect for advertising and do not share it with third parties for that purpose.
Research
We may invite you to take part in research to help us understand the effects of vibroacoustic therapy. Taking part is optional. We will only share information that identifies you with research partners if you give your separate, explicit consent for a specific study, and we will tell you who the research partner is and what they will do with your information. You can withdraw from research at any time.
We may also use anonymised, combined data that cannot identify you (for example, average session lengths across all users) to improve the App and for research and publications.
